This cottage with south east exposure is situated on Poverty Bay of Soyers Lake which is part of the famous 5 lake chain of Haliburton County which ensures that there is plenty of water to explore and fish while in this beautiful area of Central Ontario. This is a very picturesque lake and if you are planning to bring your own boat, there is plenty of dock space and there is a marina for all your boating needs within minutes of the cottage. In addition, this cottage is most appropriate for students attending the Haliburton School of Art. From the cottage, you are within 15 minutes of all campuses of this popular summer school for mature students. As you exit the cottage, there is a good size furnished deck with many lounge chairs, a table with chairs and umbrella as well as a picnic table on the dock if needed. There is a slight incline to the shoreline where you will find a furnished shore deck, dock and a canoe and paddle boat for your on water pleasure. You will find your fire pit in the front yard for those popular evening marshmallow roasts which are so popular with the kids. The shoreline is rocky with a soft bottom so swimming is best off the dock for experienced swimmers. This cottage is situated about halfway between the villages of Minden and Haliburton where there are major food stores, quaint shops, restaurants, pharmacies, service stations, live entertainment, banking, theatres, and health care at health clinics and both villages have their own hospitals if needed. If golf is your passion, there are several challenging golf courses within minutes of the cottage. And don't forget your fishing gear because the 5 lake chain has lake trout, bass, muskie, whitefish and walleye for your angling pleasure. Cottages will book very fast so do not procrastinate, call WRD Cottage Rental at 705-457-9434 and talk to one of our Vacation Planners who will be happy to answer any questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands this coming summer, "We're Closer Than You Think". For more information on this area, please visit the following web sites ...

We have moved from England and this is our first taste of cottage holidays.
We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the lake. The boys enjoyed the wolf centre
and saw a bear on Hwy 21. Thank you for a wonderful week.

The kids loved jumping off your dock and exploring in the paddle boat.
The dock was great for our boat-great setup.

We have been enjoying the Haliburton area for several summers and your water front is by far the best!
I design & renovate homes in Toronto and can appreciate the amount of work that has been done on
the water front, cottage and landscaping-well done!! The kids enjoyed diving off the dock and the
family of ducks that visited every day-weather was great-some of us got too much sun!
Many thanks- Brent, Heather, Sydney & Harry
We had a blast this week! We enjoyed your beautiful dock every day to the fullest. It seems you have
thought of everything, down to the bottle opener on the dock. Great front lawn for bocce and
badminton. Thank you for the memories

What a great week we had! Lots of sun & good times-only one day of rain. Our beautiful nine year old
yellow lab “Tyson” had a blast couldn’t keep him out of the water! The only down fall was the rocky
shoreline making it hard for him to get in and out of the water. Our son caught quite a few small bass
off the dock and in the canoe. Loved feeding the families of ducks that came to visit several times a day
and the calls of the loons @ night. Looking forward to visiting again next summer!
